Wingsurfmag WingWeek #16

WingWeek is our weekly column winfoiling related. Welcome to WingWeek #16!

Best videos of the week

In the first video the pro windsurfer Klaas Voget is enjoying a (shall we say, tricky) windfoiling light wind session in Ho’okipa, Maui .

The second video features Stephane Negrier during a lazy wingfoiling session in the waters of Martinique Island. Notice that Stephane is riding an F-ONE inflatable wingsurf dedicated board.

The third video of the week is … well … radical, to say the least. Have you ever considered the idea of WING-riding with your regular kiteboard in 50+ Knots-Gale force wind and rough, huge surf? We’re pretty sure you haven’t. Not these guys with the Cabrinha Crosswing in Cape Hatteras!

The French brand HB Kites introduces the Flair Wing, available in three sizes: 3, 4 e 5. This wing seems pretty similar to the Ozone WASP, particularly in the front handles Y setup and placement. The Flair Wings are currently on preorder.

As expected, cheap chinese wings are about to flood the market, case in point, the Surfboy Super Wing Series available in three sizes: 3, 4 e 5 m2.

In the meanwhile …

We are currently testing a few wings and foils in Maui: the F-ONE Swing 4.2 and 5, the Duotone Foil Wing 3 and the Ozone Wasp 4.0. Stay tuned on WingsurfmagBlog for updates. WingWeek #16 over!
